JoB Description

Community Learning Center (CLC) is looking for board members to commit to helping CLC change lives.

CLC is one of the top-performing adult education providers in Philadelphia, providing free classes, career coaching, and support services that enable low-income adults to earn their GED, learn English, and gain employment. This is a significant time for CLC, as we celebrate our 30th anniversary and prepare to expand programming.

A successful candidate for the board is passionate about CLC's mission, willing to fundraise and has the time to dedicate at least five hours per month to board service. Knowledge and experience in finance, accounting, marketing, communications, P.R., human resources, law, organizational development, or business is a plus.

The Data Analytics Bandwagon

As more and more funders demand real data on how well promised goals are actually being met, how much social impact is actually being achieved, nonprofits better get over their fears and some portion of the public good, all our work is, therefore, good.  It isn’t; and we are doing our clients a huge disservice if we don’t take the time to understand what works, doesn’t work and how we might make what doesn’t work better and protect what does work, while even there working to make it even better.
